Job description
Job Summary
The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) provides strategic financial leadership to ATOMA. This role oversees financial strategy, planning and budgeting, accounting, treasury and procurement, ensuring financial sustainability, robust governance, compliance with applicable regulations, and alignment with corporate objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Strategy & Planning
- Develop and execute long‑term financial strategies aligned to corporate goals.
- Lead annual budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modelling to support decision‑making.
- Provide strategic insights to the CEO and Executive Team on market, economic, and regulatory trends.
Financial Management & Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely financial statements and management reports in compliance with IFRS and local laws.
- Strengthening internal controls, finance policies, and close processes to improve reliability and speed.
- Lead external and internal audit cycles and resolve audit findings promptly.
Treasury, Cash Flow & Asset Management
- Manage liquidity, working capital, and capital structure to support operations and growth.
- Oversee banking, investments, and financing arrangements; optimize cost of capital.
- Safeguard company assets and ensure effective authorization and custody procedures.
Cost Optimization & Operational Efficiency
- Identify cost‑reduction and efficiency opportunities across departments without compromising service quality.
- Establish financial performance KPIs and dashboards to drive accountability and continuous improvement.
- Implement value‑for‑money procurement and contract governance with measurable savings.
Risk Management, Compliance & Governance
- Design and enforce financial risk management frameworks, including fraud prevention and detection.
- Ensure compliance with tax, statutory, and sector regulations (including ATRA) and internal policies.
- Coordinate enterprise risk activities with Legal, Procurement, and Internal Audit.
Leadership, People & Stakeholder Management
- Lead, mentor, and develop Finance, Procurement, and Audit teams; build succession pipelines.
- Set goals, conduct performance appraisals, and ensure capability‑building and skills transfer.
- Engage with Board, regulators, auditors, banks, and partners, present financial insights and recommendations.
