Education: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related discipline
  • Master’s degree preferred

Experience: 

  • 5–7 years enterprise Oracle DBA experience
  • Proven experience in:
  • Oracle 11g / 12c / 19c+
  • Oracle RAC, ASM, Grid Infrastructure
  • RMAN, Data Guard, OEM
  • High availability telecom or financial systems
  •  Architecture governance and data management

Training: 

  • Advanced Oracle Database Administration (11g, 12c, 19c+), including installation, upgrade, patching, RAC, ASM, and Grid Infrastructure
  • Oracle Backup, Recovery & High Availability, covering RMAN, Data Guard, disaster recovery planning, and restore validation
  • Oracle Performance Tuning & Optimization, including AWR, ASH, ADDM analysis, SQL and PL/SQL tuning
  • Database Security & Compliance, including auditing, access control, data encryption (TDE), and regulatory compliance
  • Linux / Unix Administration & Shell Scripting, for automation, monitoring, and troubleshooting

Job SummaryJob Summary
  •  The Manager – Database Administration is responsible for the strategic management, governance, security, and performance of ATOMA’s enterprise database and data platforms, while contributing to enterprise‑wide IT Architecture and Governance.
  • The role ensures that database systems, data architecture, and supporting IT platforms are secure, highly available, scalable, compliant, and aligned with business objectives, telecom regulatory requirements, and ATOMA Technology architecture standards.

Key Responsibilities

Enterprise IT Architecture & Governance

  • Participate in enterprise‑wide IT Architecture and Governance to ensure systems, databases, and platforms align with business strategy
  • Support the Architecture Governance Strategy and Framework
  • Maintain database‑related artifacts within the Architecture Repository and meta‑model, aligned with      ATOMA Technology guidelines
  • Implement and monitor architecture governance controls for databases and data platforms
  • Assess the business impact of technical architecture decisions
  • Ensure timely resolution of technology architecture issues

Database Architecture & Administration

• Architect, install, configure, maintain, upgrade, and patch Oracle Databases (11g, 12c, 19c or higher)

  • Administer and optimize Oracle RAC, Grid Infrastructure, and ASM
  • Create architectural designs for new applications and system integrations involving databases
  • Ensure database solutions support high‑availability telecom environments

Data & Systems Integration

  • Build, manage, and integrate database and data services with enterprise systems
  • Work closely with application developers to integrate databases with business applications
  • Support product development teams by designing optimal data management solutions
  • Manage, maintain, and administer enterprise data and related database tools
  • Enhance efficiency and effectiveness of database tools and services

Availability, Backup & Disaster Recovery

  • Design and manage enterprise backup and recovery
  • Perform regular backup validation and restore testing
  • Administer Oracle Data Guard (Standby databases)
  • Ensure business continuity for billing, CRM, and network systems
  • Define and maintain data restoration policies and controls

Performance Monitoring & Optimization

  • Monitor and tune overall system and database performance
  • Analyze AWR, ASH, ADDM reports
  • Perform advanced SQL and PL/SQL tuning and query optimization
  • Ensure performance tuning of all IT systems interacting with databases

Security, Compliance & Data Protection

  • Guarantee secure and optimal storage of company data
  • Implement database auditing and monitoring
  • Ensure compliance with internal policies, ATRA regulations, and international standards
  • Manage data encryption technologies (TDE preferred)
  • Protect sensitive data through security policies, procedures, and controls
  • Ensure protection of customer, financial, and operational telecom data

Incident, Risk & Problem Management

  • Resolve complex technical and production issues
  • Lead root‑cause analysis and preventive actions
  • Inform stakeholders of risks and issues in technical solutions
  • Ensure timely resolution of database and architecture‑related incidents

Leadership & Resource Management

  • Manage and develop Database Administrators, Data Architects, and System/Network Architecture resources
  • Provide supervision, mentoring, and technical guidance
  • Allocate workloads and ensure skill and capability development
  •  Contribute to recruitment and performance management of technical staff

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

  • Continuously research emerging technologies and industry best practices
  • Recommend architecture, database, and data improvements
  • Ensure IT capabilities evolve to meet current and future business needs
  • Provide updates to stakeholders on technology initiatives, costs, timelines, and budgets
