Job SummaryJob Summary

Radio Planning & Features Specialist is responsible for the design, plan, optimization, and performance enhancement of mobile radio networks (2G/3G/4G/5G). The role focuses on capacity planning, coverage and quality improvement, feature implementation & optimization, ensuring high network quality and continuous technological enhancement driving superior customer experience and supporting the company’s strategic growth with align business and regulatory requirements.

Key Tasks:

  • Optimize RAN feature configurations to enhance throughput, quality and spectrum efficiency.
  • Monitor and analyze KPI trends (Availability, Accessibility, Mobility, Retainability, Quality and Utilization)
  • Develop feature implementation guidelines and ensure vendor to recommend best practices.
  • Experience with TEMS, MapInfo, TCP, ASSET, Citrix, Google earth tools.
  • Performing link budget analysis & air interface dimensioning to maximize the value of available spectrum through proper planning (Freq, PCI, Code, Scrambling, NR and beamforming).
  • Performing radio coverage and traffic prediction using TCP Cell Planner and ASSET.
  • Performing capacity analysis and predictions to overcome network congestion.
  • Performing Pre-lunch planning and post launch planning activities collaborate with optimization, transmission, core and field engineering teams to ensure seamless network performance.
  • Prepare coverage plan as per marketing business plan and support commercial team with technical insights for new products, enterprise solutions and coverage demand.
  • Support migration and expansion projects (Swap, refarming, modernization and upgrade and new rollout).
  • Ensuring Compliance & Quality Standards (Maintain adherence to radio standards, regulatory rules, vendor recommendations and internal engineering guidelines.)
  • Document planning data, feature guidelines and optimization strategies for operational excellence.
  • MS team Monitoring to ensure features are properly configured, integrated and aligned with vendor best practices.
  • Design, upgrade, and optimize radio access networks 2G/3G/4G/5G to provide strong coverage, high throughput, minimal interference, and excellent user experience.
  • Optimize network performance based on KPIs (CSSR, DCR, Throughput, Latency, etc.).
  • Introduce, test, validate, optimize RAN features and tune radio features (e.g load balancing, CA, MIMO, SON, ANR,VoLTE features) for coverage/Capacity enhancements.
  • Conduct link budget calculations and frequency planning to ensure efficient spectrum and resource utilization.
  • Analyze drive test and parameter tuning data to verify feature impact to solve customer complaints and improve QoS.
  • Coordinate with TX, Core, and O&M teams for end-to-end network performance.
  • Support spectrum efficiency and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Prepare technical reports and presentations for management.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor/Manage
