Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field
- Professional accounting qualifications (CPA, ACCA, CMA) or master’s degree is preferable
Experience:
- 6 – 8 years of progressive experience in accounts receivable, credit control, or collections management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or managerial role preferably in the telecom industry.
Knowledge:
- Financial acumen and understanding of cash flow management
- Comprehensive knowledge of AR principles, credit management, and collections best practices
- General knowledge of the overall business operations, sales cycles, and customer segments
- Performance appraisal and team development methodologies

Job description
Job Summary
To lead, manage, and oversee the Accounts Receivable function ensuring timely and accurate collection of outstanding receivables, minimization of bad debt, and maintenance of healthy cash flow for the organization. The role is responsible for developing and implementing credit policies, collection strategies, and AR procedures while leading a team to achieve departmental KPIs and supporting the company’s financial objectives.
Duties & Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the full accounts receivable cycle including invoicing, payment allocation, collections, and reconciliations.
- Develop, implement, and monitor credit control policies and procedures to minimize credit risk and bad debt exposure.
- Oversee the preparation and distribution of customer invoices and statements in a timely manner.
- Monitor aged debt analysis and collection targets, preparing weekly and monthly AR aging reports for management.
- Lead and coordinate the collections process, negotiating payment plans with delinquent customers and escalating legal recovery where necessary.
- Ensure timely and accurate month-end and year-end account closures in compliance with reporting deadlines.
- Having solid experience of using ERP (GP/Oracle).
- Ensures commercial inventory physical count according to set policy.
- Ensure accurate cash application and allocation of payments received to customer accounts.
- Reconcile AR sub-ledger to the general ledger monthly and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage customer credit limits, conduct credit assessments for new customers, and review existing credit exposures periodically.
- Coordinate with Sales, Customer Service, and Billing departments to resolve invoice disputes and queries promptly.
- Prepare monthly AR dashboards, KPI reports, and analysis for senior management including DSO, collection effectiveness, and bad debt ratios.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and regulatory requirements for revenue recognition and receivables management.
- Support external and internal audits by providing AR-related documentation, schedules, and explanations.
