Bachelor’s degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in Core Network.
- Hands-on experience with (GSM/EPC/5GC /// DPI, PCA, EIR) is an advantage.
- Familiarity with virtualization, NFV, cloud-native architecture, and open-stack environments.
- Certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, vendor-specific, or industry standards are advantageous.
- Understanding of 3GPP, ITU-T and ANSI standards.
- Understanding of roaming agreements and IR.21, including IREG testing.
Job description
Job Summary
The core purpose of the Network Tools Specialist is to deliver core network projects, including design, installation, integration, commissioning, expansion and migration of core nodes and 3PP services. Additionally, the role involves proactive monitoring, optimization, traffic analysis, ensuring a resilient, efficient and optimized network performance.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Coordinate system installations, upgrades, UAT, onboarding, decommissioning & service evolution.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, MS and 3PP vendors to validate new products & solutions.
- Direct and provision network capacity for all Core elements, features and protocols
- Direct and choose best network architecture for core-network growth in terms of traffic, subscribers and value-added service capacity.
- Participate in technical discussions to improve overall network performance and make improvement recommendations.
- Ensure services are delivered within budget, according to contracts, and maintaining QoS post-launch.
- Monitor and analyze KPIs across (CS/IMS/EPC/PS, 5GC domains).
- Conduct capacity audits and identify resource bottlenecks.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams and configurations.
- Support in interconnection, roaming, and signaling design and implementation.
- Preparation of technical specifications for products to be deployed in the network.
- Prepare network roadmap & align respective planning teams in accordance with the roadmap
- Plan for disaster recovery for various Core-network nodes in. the network.
- Follow up on performance and utilization on system resources and capacity.
- Implement new network features and services in accordance with network requirements and industry standards.
- Generate regular reports on network performance, incidents, and improvements.
- Comply with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers for hardware/software support and upgrades.
- Experience in multi-vendor environments (Huawei & Ericsson).
- Ensure that the HW, SW and license of core elements capacities meet commercial inputs.
- Coordinate with the TX and IP teams for network dimensioning, transmission needs, HW, SW, and license capacity needs of the core elements.
